On January 9th, 2025, APEX Waterjetting Global had the privilege of hosting the Business Development Board of Martin County (BDBMC) for their quarterly Corporate Council meeting. From 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, attendees enjoyed a light breakfast and coffee while networking with peers in a welcoming atmosphere. The energy in the room was vibrant as professionals from various industries came together to connect and share insights.
At 8:30 AM, Dave Friday, President of APEX Waterjetting Global, delivered a presentation about the company’s journey and accomplishments over the past six years. Dave highlighted the ambitious goal set in motion when he took ownership of APEX: to achieve a 10X growth in revenue within a decade. This vision has driven APEX forward, and Dave was excited to share that the company has grown its revenue every year and remains firmly on track to meet that goal.
A significant part of this success stems from APEX’s incredible customers, who trust the company to meet their unique needs and enable them to excel in their respective industries. APEX serves a diverse range of clients who use ultra-high-pressure water blasting technology in fascinating ways. Examples include:
- Automotive Manufacturing: Using APEX pumps to deburr transmission castings, ensuring precision and quality in production and tooling to clean overspray in paint booths.
- Offshore Oil and Gas: Employing APEX water blasting guns to prepare surfaces on rigs and tanks, removing corrosion to enable effective surface prep before painting.
- Shipyards: Utilizing APEX pumps, tools and parts to strip old paint from ships, preparing them for a fresh coat and extended service life.
- Pavement Marking Removal: Applying APEX systems for surface preparation and cleaning, as well as removing pavement markings.
- Runway Rubber Removal: Clearing rubber buildup from aircraft landings to restore friction and maintain safe runway conditions.
During the presentation, attendees were invited to take a closer look at the components that APEX manufactures, including the nozzles that are key to the performance of its tools. A popular product on display was the new StripeBot. The StripeBot is an automated pavement marking removal tool designed to increase safety and precision. By increasing the operator’s distance from live traffic, it significantly reduces operator risk.
The BDBMC breakfast was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on APEX’s achievements and share the company’s story with a broader audience. It also provided a platform to celebrate the partnerships and contributions to Martin County.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the BDBMC for allowing us to host this important event and to all the attendees who made it a success. We look forward to continuing our mission to equip our customers to do what they do best, one innovative solution at a time.
