Hello everyone,
For the past few weeks, we have been discussing the advantages of doing business with the APEX Waterjetting team.
We’ve highlighted our commitment to same-day shipping of parts, expert technical support, and our dedication to running our business with a quality management system, specifically the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
Today, I want to talk about what I call a “Fair Deal.”
The image that comes to mind is the old Ben Franklin scales of justice, illustrating that each party receives an equal amount of value.
To me, a fair deal means doing the right thing even when it’s not convenient or financially easy. It means charging a fair price at a fair margin, even when you could charge more to a customer who may not know fair pricing.
A fair deal means keeping your word. Integrity is doing what you said you would do. It’s easy to promise the moon, but can you deliver on your promises? A fair deal person delivers on their promises and doesn’t promise something they can’t deliver.
Being a fair deal person doesn’t mean being perfect. We are human and will make mistakes from time to time. The key is how we handle the situation when it becomes clear there was a mistake or misunderstanding. A fair deal person is genuine in their attempt to resolve misunderstandings.
A fair deal person seeks to understand all perspectives, not just their own. You can count on the word and handshake of a fair deal person. Years after a handshake deal, you can expect a reasonable resolution.
A fair deal person is punctual and communicates promptly if something unavoidable comes up. They are reasonable and truthful in their dealings, operating on the principle of treating others how they would want to be treated.
Offering you a fair deal is a big commitment, but that is our promise when you do business with anyone on the APEX team. It is a non-negotiable requirement to be a fair deal person to work at APEX. When we make a mistake, we will do everything within our ability to make it right—that’s our guarantee.
So when you hear the phrase “fair deal” or “we’ll treat you right,” this is the philosophy behind it.
Respectfully,
David Friday
